am clueless to why i haven't had the initiative to update this page ever since i returned to dublin. i feel somewhat, dull. dull like the grey skies when the weather's absolute gloom & shite.

flew to london(glazed krispy kreme donuts yumm) just last weekend and paid a visit to Bath, Somerset(approx 1.5 hr train ride away from central london) and jeng jeng jengg, Thorpe Park a.k.a the second theme park of my life. the theme park i've ever visited is our local Genting Highlands, never been to a fancy one like Disneyland, so i was pretty excited really! and more than just pretty freaked out.

after a 40 minute train ride from Waterloo to Staines,

can't deny that i'm a purrr/miaooo/pussy when it comes to height. what more rides involving crazy heights, zero gravity and all that jazz. example, pirate ship in Lost World of Tambun wtf -_- barely 3m off the ground and my eyes were completely shut tight and wishing the ride would just stopstopstopSTOP right when it started. sighh

well, you should because i did! wanna shake my hands and congratulate me? pat my back if u like, i don't mind. hehe, being retarded. ANYWAY, don't know what possessed me seriously -_- but it was amazing! got off the roller coaster with shaky limbs and pounding heartbeats. all that adrenaline...

latest addition to Thorpe Park, looks bloody inviting but queueing time would have taken an hour hence passing the ride

the ride in the background is the Slammer. it freaking rotates 360 degrees(clockwise and then anti-clockwise!!), basically propelling u upwards and swatting u back down to the ground while you are seated.

i HATE this ride. scary balls

went on more rides than pictured, namely Rush(big ass swing going front and back with a maximum height and angle of about 20m and 104degrees respectively -_-), Collosus, Nemesis Inferno.. both of which are roller coasters.

although highly unlikely but fear of height, be gone!(?)

weather's awesome today! so far..

been back since friday morning (GMT 0 haha sajee), i might post up pictures of my new room/place? heh. on the other hand, i've never really posted up pictures of my campus.. doh.

eazy breezy

50 minutes of plane ride, 30 minutes of bus ride and then top it off with another 60+mins of boat ride later..

PARADISE!

"OMG WATER SO BLUE. WATER SO CLEAR," i kept repeating.
damn jakun. never see clear water for so long -_-

anyway that's the resort which we stayed at, Redang Pelangi Resort.
probably the cheapest 3D2N package the resorts on the island have to offer.
room's a little shabby(budget, heh) but most importantly, clean! oh and functioning air-conditioner, speaking for the boy hehe. friendly staffs, decent meals.
8/10, i'd rate.



the boat which ferried us from the jetty at K.Terrenganu to Redang

each night after dinner, we would just lie in the hammock enveloped by the cooling sea breeze and sounds of waves crashing and everything. we even saw "blue sand" aka Ostracods(i googled...... and wikipediaed. couldn't help it) on the first night. it glows blue in the dark at night! managed to pick one up from the sand but we couldn't capture the glow with my camera though :(

loved each and every second of the time i spent on that island! :)))
in my humble opinion, redang > langkawi even if it isn't a duty-free zone. i mean, have you seen the waters?! :D

elepwhents on the loose!

caught the earliest flight of the day to langkawi at 7.30 in the morning last monday. left to the airport at 5 in the morning, super early -_- didn't even manage to get some shut eye the night before. i'm retarded like that.


after an hour of journey in the plane...

the first thing we did was to rent a car. got conned in the process(only realised it yesterday haha)-_-
bugger. no point crying over split milk. moving on....

drove down to pantai cenang (5-10 minutes away?) after we checked into our room at Langkasuka Resort.

weather was so good upon touching down! very sunshine-y with cotton candy clouds floating about in the sky

we went on the jet ski 2nd day into the trip.

crazy speed paired with the waves- one word: orgas-mmmm! plus ear-piercing screams when boyfriend accelerates to the max speed -_-

paid Kuah town a visit(read: stock up on free duty booze & chocs), with the constant fear of running out of petrol during the journey i might add hehe, before returning to the resort for a mini sun-bathing session.

something i'll definitely miss when it's time to resume the other currently-on-hold life in dublin.

anywayyy, we proceeded to cenang again for dinner.

was starving, forgot to snap the soft shell crab which came later on. gobble, gobble...

had seafood for 3 nights in a row! fish, lobster, crab, shark's fin soup... yums.
rest of the days were pretty repetitive but very lovely nevertheless. boyfriend time always equals good time. i'm cheesy like that. sue me.

oooh, i can finally strike out two of my summer to-do's. #1, getting a tan and #2, a beach holiday!

managed to catch the match between Manchester United vs Malaysia with jinn yesterday with 79,998 other (sweaty) spectactors. seats were taken hence the need for us to stand for both halves of the 90odd minute game. all because the ticketpro officers at the collection counter failed to find my tickets from the SMALL pile of tickets meant for collection. i had to spot my own ticket through the counter.. -_-

the past 2 weeks have been good!

daily burning cash ritual isn't too nice but the company is pretty damn awesome.
